Covelong Beach is a small beach located between Chennai and Mahabalipuram. Covelong port was originally built by Saadat Ali Nawab of Carnatic which was later taken by the British.

Covelong's clean sandy beach offers water sport facilities and is a popular picnic spot. You can also see an Ancient Fort, a Catholic Church and a Mosque which are other tourist attractions.
