Calangute Beach is a characteristic beach of Goa with swaying palm trees and soft sandy stretches with plenty of sunshine. ‘Calangute’ means 'land of fishermen' and true to its name, small fishing villages of Arpora-Nagoa, Saligao and Candolim dot the landscape. Since Go ais full of relics, the Bom Viagem Convent is in close vicinity. Also Medicinal water springs at Mottant nearby attract a lot of tourists. Calangute beach can be visited anytime of the year , yet the best time would be November to February.
